Children’s Ministries
Sunday Morning
At Heritage we offer classes for children from birth through sixth grade. We want Children’s Ministry to be a place where kids can experience God and be transformed by Him. Our programs are designed with the family in mind. We believe that our job is to come alongside you the parent in leading a child into a meaningful relationship with Christ. Our goal is To Reach Every Kid (TREK).
Early Childhood:
All of our Early Childhood children will check-in at the desk to receive their secure tag before going into their class.
Cruisers: Our infants class goes through the God Loves Me series. They are attended to by loving volunteers as they sing, play and learn about our Lord!
Travelers: Our toddlers go through the Bible with Tru Blessings. The teachers lead them through a Bible story, songs, an activity, craft and a snack. They will go through the Bible chronologically with God-centered stories and even have a verse to memorize!
Pathfinders:
First Service: Our Preschoolers use the Bible in Life curriculum. Our teacher leads them through their lesson which includes a God-centered lesson, activity, worship, and craft.
Second Service: Our Preschoolers are using Tru Wonder by David C. Cook. It takes the kids through God’s Big Story which we are all a part of! It has components of worship, prayer, activities and crafts. The HomeFront Weekly is sent home every week so parents may prepare their child ahead for what will be taught on Sunday.
Elementary Classes
First Service: All of our Leaders and students begin service with worship. We want our kids to learn how and why we wor
ship. The first service is a traditional service where kids are taught in a classroom setting. The curriculum we use is RIO by David C. Cook. The lessons are God centered, with an emphasis on building relationships. For more information on RIO go to www.rio.davidccook.com .
Second Service:
All of our Leaders and students begin service with worship. We want our kids to learn how and why we worship. The second service is a contemporary service where kids are taught in a large group setting, then break into age appropriate groups to go deeper into the lesson. The curr
iculum we use is Tru Story by David C. Cook. Tru teaches our kids about Gods Big Story and that we are a part of His story. We have the HomeFront Weekly that we send home to give parents an opportunity and resources to pre-teach the following weeks lesson. For more information on Tru go to www.tru.davidccook.com .
