“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
-Colossians 1:9-10

This verse is a great Scriptural description for the purpose of Student Ministry. We teach our students that a life of faith is a process.

Know the Bible: Paul says his prayer for the Colossians is that they would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will, and that this knowledge would be complete. This is also our prayer for our students.

Apply the Bible: Paul says knowledge leads to a life that is pleasing to God, where the individual “bears fruit in every good work.” We teach our students that knowing the Bible isn’t where the process ends. We teach them that they must live out what they learn from God’s Word.

Repeat: Paul describes a process of growing in knowledge so that our lives would be fruitful. So that we can in turn continue to grow in knowledge. We teach our students that living out a life of faith is a process. It’s a process that lays a foundation that will be built upon for years to come as they go off to college, find a spouse, and raise families of their own. It is a process that repeats itself.

There are many different avenues of involvement for Students here at Heritage. Each avenue strives to accomplish the same thing: to help each and every student grow both personally and spiritually while training them to lead the cause of Christ and apply their faith to every area of their life.

Whether if you’re a student or a parent, there is a place here for you. Please spend a few moments browsing our site and getting acquainted with our Student Ministry. Below you will see links that will take you to our different Student Ministry pages where you will find information on events and trips, photos, announcements, and more. Enjoy and have a blessed day!
